Red Box Services - Client Care
Here at Red Box, one of the services we provide is taking care of client's clients. I think it's one of the most fun jobs I do. I love interacting with the people on the other end of the product and it's a great way to get to know my client's business.
However, it is one of the areas that can get left behind if a client is really busy developing their business, making sales pitches or being on the road all the time. Customer care is something that can easily slip, especially if you're wearing a multitude of hats each day. It may also mean that you end up working the hours that do not represent the most constructive use of your valuable time.
For example, I am working with a client who is developing a new marketing program and selling that on to new clients. When a client says,"yes", I'm the one that does the follow up work, collecting direct debit payments, sending out reminder notices, putting together information packs & replying to emails as well as taking calls.
Outsourcing this type of daily task can be of real benefit to clients.
He's on the road a lot , which can mean that he's not always available for his current clients. Which is where I step in! I can take calls, check over emails and generally make sure that everyone has what they need and are happy.
The overall benefit to the client is that he's saving time on the necessary follow up admin for this program as well as being able to spend time on what he does best, probably making more money than he is spending on my services! He knows that his current clients are being looked after, while he utilises his strong skills selling and promoting his marketing program.
In the past I worked with a client in the States, for whom I took credit card payments, followed up on email & telephone queries and because of the nature of the job, I would often be talking to the customer's mothers or their best friends! It gives me a warm feeling to know that I'm trusted in this way.
We all know that building a business can take time and be hard graft, but you don't have to do it alone. Outsourcing key parts of your business, such as customer care, can free up your valuable time, so that you can use that time in other constructive and profitable ways.
