We all seem to be at the beck and call of email & text messaging, and with the continuing technology we can carry our lives around in a Blackberrys or gadgets not bigger than your palm, or smaller, always contactable whether we want to be or not!Do you send emails when it would be just as easy to pick up the phone or walk across the office?  Do you get the humph when you don’t receive a reply to an email within hours of sending it, let alone within days?  What about texts, or SMSs??  Do you feel as though you’re being ignored, or worse, the recipient has fallen out with you but has failed to tell you?!?  Paranoid or what?  And I can write this because it’s how I feel.

There was never so much pressure with sending a letter by post; where would Choderlos de Laclos and his fabulous Les Liaisons Dangereux be if it was all done by email??
