What to Do When Your VA Goes Away
February 24, 2009 3:42 pm Virtual Assistant InfoYes, we take holiday too!
Do you remember what it was like before you hired your VA? Was your office in chaos, your admin lagging behind, calls not returned and an Inbox full of emails you had never responded to? And that was before you even started to think about client care and marketing your business. Then your VA came along and took care, quickly and quietly and most importantly of all, efficiently, of all the work that you’d had to pass over or commit to the ever growing ‘to do’ pile. And your VA doesn’t cost you as much as you had feared and you just don’t know what you’re going to do now…
- If your VA is as great as you think she is, she will give you a decent amount of notice that a holiday has been planned.
- List the activities and roles that your VA takes care of and consider what you could do yourself.
- Start early. Don’t wait until the day your VA is taking a break to take responsibility for those activities that will NEED to be undertaken.
- Follow up on any leads your VA can give you. There are many VA forums and networking arenas that could provide you with a short-term substitute.
